We were delighted to participate in WTM 2025 in London, where the Balearic Islands held a particularly strong presence within the UK travel market. For us at Privadia, as villa specialists with over a decade of experience operating across Ibiza and Mallorca, it was an invaluable opportunity to engage with travel professionals, partner agencies, and representatives from the Balearic government offices.
Strengthening Partnerships and Gathering Insights
Our meetings during WTM provided critical insights into the evolving preferences of UK travellers to Spain. The feedback received from our partner agencies was especially valuable, helping us identify new ways to enhance our service delivery and adapt to the complexities of an increasingly dynamic villa market.
We also held constructive discussions with Balearic government representatives, focusing on the current and future licensing framework for holiday villas, sustainability requirements, and the health and safety standards that licensed properties must maintain. These conversations provided us with a clearer understanding of how the villa rental market in the Balearic Islands is expected to evolve, with a growing emphasis on transparency, regulatory compliance, and authentic, high-quality accommodation experiences.
Our villa owners are equally committed to upholding these standards, ensuring that every property within our portfolio meets the necessary safety, licensing, and quality benchmarks. This alignment allows us to continue offering our partners and guests complete peace of mind.
Continuing to Innovate with Technology
At Privadia, we are continually advancing our technology platform to stay ahead of travel tech trends. The discussions held at WTM reaffirmed the importance of innovation, not only to streamline operations for our agency partners but also to improve the clarity and fluidity of the guest experience.
Our upcoming platform updates will introduce new tools for agencies, enabling them to make the most of our partnership and enhance their efficiency when managing bookings and client communications. On the guest side, our focus remains on delivering seamless, personalised experiences supported by the latest digital solutions.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
Beyond networking, WTM serves as a connector for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Following feedback from our agencies after the summer season and during our villa update training sessions, we continue to refine our offerings and provide up-to-date destination knowledge. This helps our partners to confidently represent our villas and destinations, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable stay.
We also took the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Turkish Riviera, particularly those connected to the Kalkan area, where Privadia has recently expanded its villa portfolio. These meetings allowed us to stay informed about local market trends and to align our on-the-ground teams with client expectations and emerging travel experiences in this region.
Looking Ahead
As we look towards 2026, Privadia is evolving further. Our commitment to incorporating partner feedback remains central to our progress, ensuring that every improvement we make is both meaningful and effective.
For those who were unable to attend WTM 2025 or meet with us in person, we would be delighted to arrange a meeting to discuss collaboration opportunities and share upcoming updates. Please get in touch at carmen@privadia.com.
It is always good to connect, exchange ideas, and continue building strong partnerships that shape the future of villa travel.
