By late August, Ibiza is running at full tilt. Every residency is up and going, the beach clubs are busy from lunchtime, and the biggest names in dance music are playing somewhere on the island most nights of the week. Then, rather than fading out, the season saves its loudest moment for last. The closing parties run from the final days of August right through to the first week of October, and for a lot of people they turn out to be the best nights of the whole summer. This is a guide to both halves, the peak you are arriving into and the closings still to come, and to doing the lot from a private villa rather than a hotel corridor.
August, when the island is at full capacity
August is Ibiza at its maximum. The line-ups tend to be the strongest of the year, everything is open, and day and night blur into each other in a way few places manage.
Ushuaïa, the open-air stage down in Playa d’en Bossa, gives the week a rhythm you can set your plans by. ANTS takes over on Saturdays with its tech-house and its afternoon-into-evening crowd. Calvin Harris holds down Fridays with the biggest main-stage production on the island. David Guetta’s residency is pure festival spectacle, all confetti and stadium-sized drops. Over the road at Hï Ibiza, Black Coffee brings a more grown-up afro and deep house sound, while Our House with MEDUZA and James Hype, and Francis Mercier’s Solèy, fill out the rest of the week. Up at UNVRS, the island’s vast new club in San Rafael, Jamie Jones keeps Paradise firmly in the underground.
None of it is only after dark. O Beach runs its pool parties at full throttle right through August, the boat parties sell out almost daily, and there is glamour of a different sort at Lío or live music at Teatro Pereyra for a gentler night. If you have ever wondered why Ibiza has been the party island for forty years, August is the month that answers it.
The closings, and the dates that matter
The closing run is where the season goes out with real noise, and in 2026 most of it lands in the last week of September and the first week of October. If you are planning around particular nights, these are the ones to hold in your diary.
UNVRS starts its run early and finishes late. John Summit got things going back on 27 July, and it builds through FISHER on 10 September and Anyma’s audiovisual show on 15 September. The final stretch brings David Guetta on 2 October, elrow on 3 October and Carl Cox on 4 October.
Amnesia takes a slightly different path. BRESH closes its pop and Latin night on 6 September, and Resistance delivers one of the heavier techno closings on 17 September, running across both the Terrace and the Main Room.
Hï Ibiza opens the closing run with Dom Dolla on 28 August, then saves the rest for October. CamelPhat closes on the 2nd, and Black Coffee follows on the 3rd with Skepta over in the Club Room. The residency finales then carry on through the 4th, 5th and 6th.
Ushuaïa keeps its open-air closings tight. David Guetta closes on 28 September, Tomorrowland brings its festival production on 30 September, Calvin Harris takes his Friday night out on 2 October, and ANTS holds the final Saturday day-party on 3 October.
Pacha, the classic club over in Ibiza Town, saves its residency finales for that same first week. Pure Pacha with Purple Disco Machine closes on the 1st, and Solomun takes his +1 night out on the 4th. Sonny Fodera follows on the 5th, Mau P on the 7th, and Marco Carola brings Music On to a close on the 8th. DC10, the more underground option out by the airport, has Solid Grooves down for 1 October, though the line-up was still to be confirmed as this went out.
The pattern is easy enough to read. Late September warms everything up, and the first eight days of October are the real crescendo, with several of the biggest closings landing within a day or two of one another.
Doing it properly, from a villa
This is where the trip is won or lost. A run of late nights is a wonderful thing, and it is also a lot to manage if you are in a hotel and driving yourself between Playa d’en Bossa, San Rafael and Ibiza Town. A private villa changes the whole shape of it. You get your own pool to surface into the following afternoon, space for the group to spread out, and a base that is yours rather than shared with a lobby full of strangers. Our villas sit right across the party belt, from the south around Playa d’en Bossa to the quieter countryside near San Rafael and Santa Eulalia, so you are never far from whichever club you have come for.
The rest is what our guest experience team is for. We arrange chauffeured transfers, so nobody has to drive home at six in the morning or hunt for a space in the Ushuaïa car park, and so the group travels together instead of scattering across three taxis. Tables and guest list can be sorted before you arrive rather than left to a queue on the night. A private chef can take on the recovery days, when nobody wants to move much further than the kitchen. And since late summer is peak season on the water too, we are always happy to put a boat on for a day out between the late nights, which is about the best hangover cure the island has.

The closings are worth building a whole trip around. The catch is timing, because the best nights sell out and the villas go fastest for these exact weeks. So the sooner you know which nights you are after, the better.
